Bread Masala

Bread masala is one of the easiest and yummiest dish that is filled with flavors. You can serve this as a quick breakfast along with a glass of juice or as an evening snack. In this recipe I have used wheat bread for a healthy diet. You can use any bread variety of your choice to make this dish.

Ingredients:

  • Bread Slice – 10
  • Finely sliced big onion – 1 cup
  • Grated carrot – 1 cup
  • Chopped spring onions – 1 cup + 1 tbsp for garnishing
  • Capsicum – 1/2 cup
  • Garam masala – 1tbsp
  • Tomato sauce – 2 tbsp
  • Salt – 1/4tbsp or as per requirement
  • Butter(Unsalted) – 4 tbsp

Preparation:

  • Cut the bread slices into small cubes and keep them aside.
  • Take a large pan and keep it over the stove on medium flame.
  • Once it becomes slightly hot, add butter and let it melt.
  • Now add the chopped onions and saute for 2 mins.
  • Once the onions are slightly cooked(do not over-cook or fry them too much), add the grated carrot, spring onions and saute for a min.
  • Now add 1 tbsp garam masala, salt and mix well.
  • Add in the chopped capsicum, Tomato sauce and stir fry on high flame for 2 mins. We are adding capsicum in the end so that it does not become soft and soggy.
  • Now add the bread pieces and stir fry on slow flame for about 5-7 mins.
  • Transfer to a bowl , garnish with some spring onions and enjoy tasty bread masala.
